Club Constitution
1. Objectives
A. Form a body of members interested in the art of coarse angling
B. Promote and encourage the sport of coarse angling in Scotland.
C. Organise tuition and coaching
D. Acquire suitable waters for the development of coarse angling and also for
the benefit of the club members
E. Organise competitions
2. Membership
1. Members of the club, will be issued with a copy of the rules and constitution
before paying membership fees.
2. The membership fee will be set by the executive committee and may be changed
at the AGM
3. Family memberships shall be for two people living at the same address
4. All club members shall be deemed responsible to accept all by laws and
country code published by the government
5. All club members shall be deemed responsible to accept the terms and
conditions of this constitution and the rules set by the executive committee
6. The affairs of the club shall be conducted by the executive committee, which
shall consist of the officers specified below along with two other members of
the club who are not members of the committee
7. The officers of the club are the Chairperson, Club Secretary, Match Secretary
and the Treasurer
8. Positions of Chairperson, Club Secretary, Match Secretary and treasurer will
be elected by members of the club at the AGM, to serve for a period of two years
9. The executive committee will have the power to co-opt members to serve until
the AGM. However, co-opted members will not have the power to vote
10. The executive committee will have the authority to delegate the clubs
responsibilities to other members.
11. The executive committee have the authority to create and maintain a set of
standing orders for the conduct of the club members.
12. Decisions of the committee shall be carried by a majority vote of committee
members present at that meeting
13. If the conduct of any member, shall in the opinion of the committee, be in
anyway derogatory to the character of the club, the committee may take action
after a hearing of all members of the club.
14. Any member of the club with a grievance with the club and or any member of
the club, should approach the committee for an emergency meeting to discuss the
grievance. All parties involved must be present.
