Dateline April 2011

The second Sumer League match of 2011 was held at Orchil Fishery on the last Sunday of April and saw a welcome return to club matches for Iain Paterson. Pegged on the 1 to 15 section the fishing was good for most.

Tony Hayler won the match with a 36lb 8 oz bag which included a carp of 8lb 2oz. Andrew Fernie Jnr was second with 29lb 12oz and Jack McArdle was third with 26lb 4oz.

This match was also the first round of the Knockout Competition and the results can be seen om the Results page

All in all the match was fished by 12 members, catching a combined total of 220lbs 11oz

Dateline March 2011

The first Sumer League match of 2011 was held at Orchil Fishery on the last Sunday of March. The weather was good and we welcomed three new members, Tony Hayler, and Jimmy and Stevie MacAlinden to the club. The match also formed the 2011 Pairs Competition.

Andy Roberts won the match with a great catch of 45lb 8oz with new boys Tony and Jimmy is 2nd and 3rd place.

Tony and Jimmy were drawn together as partners in the Pairs Competition and won with an outright total of 64lbs

All in all the match was fished by 13 members, catching a combined total of 234lbs

Congratulations to Jack McArdle who won the last Summer League Match at Magiscroft. Jack also took the Golden Peg

Well done to Davy Mathew who retained both the Club Championship and the Seniors Championship

Congrats to Andy Roberts who finished top of the Adult Championship

Well done to Andrew Fernie Jnr who took the Junior Championship for the second year running

Congratulations to Andy Morrison on his win in the first Summer League match held at Orchil

Well done to Phil who was second and Davy Mathew for a third in what was a very hard day under very windy conditions

Dateline September 2009

Congratulations to Davy Mathew who won the Mens Club Championship with 111 points. Davy could afford the luxury of missing a match and still win. Andy Roberts was second with 104 points

Congrats again to Davy who also won the Seniors Championship, with Jack McArdle finishing second. A repeat of last year!

Well done to Andrew Fernie Jnr who saw off the competition to win the Junior Championship for 2009
